Paul Curtis - Technical Associate
Paul has over 12 years experience in IT, most of which was gained with the fledgling Tesco.com company from 1997 onwards. As a result he has focussed on the internet as a key channel for most of his working time. With Tesco.com, he was integral in ensuring the success of the operation, and the development of the website to meet ever increasing customer demands. This included evolving the business model and IT architecture to cater for new retail channels, such as books and CDs, and also involved the complex systems integration with each of these suppliers to Tesco.
Paul joined easyJet in 2005 heading up their IT development team. He forged key relationships with Microsoft to enable easyJet to be a key strategic partner and helped to introduce agile methodologies to the organisation. In the development of new web initiatives, he has implemented the User Centered Design approach to ensure developed solutions meet user requirements and most importantly from a business perspective generate as much revenue as possible. He was responsible for creating a new architecture and innovation function, and for developing a vision for the next-generation travel portal in conjunction with Microsoft, that received critical acclaim at a number of press launches.
Paul has now moved into consultancy having started the company Unomee.com, focussing on Travel & Transport sector organisations interested in improving and developing both their web presence, and their back office systems. To support this, he helps them to implement cost effective, light-weight and adaptable solutions to help future growth and rapid change.
When he’s not at work (or asleep), Paul spends the little time left with his wife and three children, and a variety of musical instruments to serve his passion for playing and recording music.
